Gorberry Hall at Thymevald

Description

This was to be another random encounter in my little maps series...
But, well, it isn't, per se. It just seemed to fit in with another story location, the Great House of Morgyle.
Both of them are from a newly developing place that might grow more as time goes on.
Possibly a sort of alternate Earth, after a fashion. Not by any means just an alternate timelime.
We'll see. Anyways, here's the backstory.

Beyond the vale of Flick, and the Silver Lakes, lies a great rolling plain that stretches almost to the sea on one end and is no less salty on the other.

From the rocks of Nobnarl can be seen the rolling meadows of the Boarenfold and a hint of the vast woodlands beyond. There, at the edge of the Boaren fields, sits Gorberry Hall, ancestral home of the long lived Lord Shagrus Warth, from Far Ryme and lands further still.

The Hall sits, like a sentinel, at the edge of the scrub that will, down the road, become the Thymevald. Dark, mysterious, yet incredibly fragrant, the Forest of Thyme is said to have never been crossed. And there's good basis for this legend, as no one can make claim of having traversed Thyme and seen the other side thereof. Or leastwise none who have returned to tell the tale.

Gorberry benefits from its proximity to the Thymevald, as the forest is a treasure trove of fragrant herbs and succulent fruits. Rare nuts and decadent truffles can be had by the adventurous roamer. Other assorted myconic treats await the diligent as well as some rather interesting woods and lashes of vine and wispy shrub for the weaving and crafting of fine items.

The fields and scrubs around the Hall are rich in hearty grains and several varieties of rambling nutty shrubs. The land about the Hall has several streams that wander through the felds and meander on their way into the Thymevald.

As one of the last halls on the meadow road that meets the lonelier low forest road, some say it is the house at the beginning of Thyme. Shagrus Warth would knowingly nod his head and heartily agree, with a tusky grin.  Cheers, J
