Back Stair Street [color] by SirInkman Back Stair Street [color] by SirInkman
PS colored and textured illustration from pencil drawing
Back Stair Street by SirInkman

The idea behind this illustration was the concept of a nice upscale old town where all the houses look so nice in the front. But in the back, on Back Stair Street the niceties of society were exposed as cracking dilapidated facades.
The time and place are relative. It could be some fantasy village or an 1800s era town.
Those are my first attempt at clouds. I was pretty happy with those.

I love the architectural renderings you've done.  I used to be an architect student and love that I can see the fine details because of that.  Your work will make appearances in my D&D games on Thursday nights.  If you have more of this fantasy style architecture (for this is how I see it), I'd love to see more!  Can you link me to a larger folio?

I like this, and as I prefer traditional (ie non-digital) work, i'm heading over to look at the pencil drawing too!

Thank you sir. Much apprecaited.
I understand that. Digital doesn't have the same effect often.
But it is soooo much faster to do certain things. So it wins out a lot. :)

Not sure if I prefer this or the original pencil drawing. Both are fantastic!

I know what you mean. It's often difficult to improve on a really good pen or pencil drawing. They have a quality that is sometimes hard to match. I think it's how much clearer and contrasted the details are. I hope I improved on it though. :)
